Parent/Teacher Conference Day is September 25th. Be on the lookout for a scheduled time from your child's teacher. |
|
These are the Essential 55 goals that your child is working on in class right now.
August – Rule #1 When responding to any adult, you must answer by saying "Yes ma’am" or "No sir". Just nodding your head or saying any other form of yes or no is not acceptable. September – Rule #2 Make eye contact. When someone is speaking, keep your eyes on him or her at all times. If someone makes a comment, turn and face that person. Rule #3 If someone in the class wins a game or does something well, we will congratulate that person. Claps should be of at least three seconds in length with the full part of both hands meeting in a manner that will give the appropriate clap volume. |

A BIG SHOUT OUT |
Volunteer Opportunity in September Here's an opportunity for contributions that we've recently heard about. You know how we all send in Kleenex and hand gel for our classroom teachers? Would there be some of you who might be interested in sending those two items in for the special area teachers? With flu season just around the corner, we want them to be well-supplied with anything that will slow down the spread of germs. Our children generally spend 50 minutes in their related arts class each day, and those teachers usually work with over 120 students/day. In a week, around 600 children will have spent time in their classrooms! It would be a big help to them if we could collect boxes of Kleenex and pump-bottles of hand gel for them to use in their classrooms. If you'll send in your contributions to the health room we will distribute them to the special area teachers. We will be collecting through the month of September. Thank you for helping to keep our school family as healthy as possible! |
